Project Management & Employer Representative
MGM Partnership offers Project Management services through all stages of a project and many Clients seem to appreciate a management style whereby cost is strictly monitored with our Quantity Surveying background.
We realise the Client’s need to have single point responsibility from their Design Team and we establish all lines of responsibility and communication with, and between, consultants and organisations so that we can report directly to the Client.
We co-ordinate all activities with those involved in the project to ensure that the Client achieves all their specific requirements and in particular budget, programme and quality.
We have successfully project managed numerous projects through our direct hands-on approach and continuous monitoring and supervision of all those involved in the project.
Contract Administration
With a knowledge and experience base of building contracts in Ireland and the UK in traditional and Design and Build arrangements in the private and public sectors of over 25 years, MGM Partnership is pre-eminently positioned to administer building contracts from €5,000 to €100,000,000.
In particular, MGM Partnership is well placed to provide advice in relation to the Construction Contracts Bill and its impact on the building contract for our clients.
Irrespective of which contract type is utilised our key focus at all times is to ensure that rigid cost control procedures are adhered to throughout the contract.
Value Engineering
As a practice, MGM Partnership regularly apply value engineering to projects on which we are involved.
This may be applied to ensure that Client’s requirements are met in terms of functionality whilst achieving value for money in achieving this.
The process can be applied at the early stages of the design process in order to establish the budget parameters for the project or it can be applied in order to achieve cost savings on a project.
The proposed specification, construction form etc. are all rigorously assessed to ensure that the Client’s project is achieving its maximum potential and value for money.
Due Diligence
MGM Partnership is eminently suitable to assess the future viability of an asset and to carry out initial due diligence reports on a development proposal. This can involve many processes and stages such as preparation of feasibility studies, site assessment, status of statutory consents etc.
When the project progresses to the construction stage, MGM Partnership becomes “the eyes and ears” for the Client/Funding Institution on the ground.
Our understanding of the construction contract and process places us an excellent position to closely monitor construction projects as they proceed and identify financial issues at the earliest possible opportunity.
