Micheál oversees all projects undertaken by the practice.
With 30 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor (over 20 as a chartered quantity surveyor), it is our view that Micheál Mahon will offer a unique skill set in the delivery of Quantity Surveying services by MGM Partnership to you as a client.
Recent President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors, Ireland, and recent Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, Micheál has been responsible for leading the SCSI on issues such as Housing, Construction Contract Act legislation, amendments to the industry contracts etc.
Micheál has represented the SCSI at the Oireachtas Committee on Housing and has made several presentations on Housing costs both in the media and other forums.
Micheál headed up the MGM team on a hotel project in city centre Dublin which is the first “zero carbon” hotel in the city as well as recently completing an award winning residential housing development which achieved A2 energy rating.
Micheál has headed our team on significant Design and Build projects and has been responsible, and currently responsible for, delivery of over 500 residential units on a Design and Build basis as well as over €100m of commercial development, all procured on a Design and Build procurement route.
Martin Sinnott
M.S.C.S.I., M.R.I.C.S.
Martin is an experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor with 19 years’ experience working in the industry.
Martin was a member of the SCSI Working Group who drafted the QS Handbook Guidance Notes.
Martin has worked on this suite of documents which define good practice and standards for Chartered Quantity Surveyors in Ireland and includes guidance notes on topics such as retention, life cycle costing, e-tendering, damages for delay to completion etc. He has contributed significantly to the SCSI in his role in the working group on producing these guidance notes.
Martin has extensive experience of Private & Public Works Contracts, the construction industry generally and wide-ranging knowledge bring tangible benefits and value to projects on which he is involved.
Martin takes a hands-on role on all projects on which he is involved and heads up the team of surveyors when additional resources are required on projects i.e., preparing bills of quantities. He has worked with numerous contract forms such as GCCC, RIAI Standard forms, RIAI bespoke forms, JCT Design and Build (Amended).
Martin leads an experienced team of surveyors and all our personnel have vast experience of public works contracts in Residential, Community, Industrial and Education sector developments across Ireland which makes us ideally placed to provide consultancy services for a range of clients. The experience of our personnel, qualifications and market knowledge ensures we can interrogate design team proposals as required to fully understand and accurately cost your projects.
Craig Potter
M.S.C.S.I., M.R.I.C.S.
Craig having joined the practice in 2015 began working on our residential and commercial portfolios fulfilling the role of Project and Cost Manager.
He has developed significant experience in our Residential and Public Works portfolio delivering private, social, and affordable housing, and various public sector projects.
Accordingly, Craig has a working knowledge of public procurement procedures and is particular adept at the pre-contract aspect of public works.
Many of the private projects Craig has been engaged on involved 3rd party funders, and accordingly he has developed expertise in the development appraisal, contract practice and administration, and funding compliance aspects of the profession.
He also acts as independent monitoring surveyor for some of our funder Clients.
Craig has continually delivered projects on time and budget, on both Design & Build and Traditional basis, and always builds good relationships with stakeholders he encounters.
