Project:  Barntown National School – Construction of new 16 Classroom School associated siteworks, new playing pitch and demolition of existing school.

Description: Construction of new build 16 classroom school, demolition of existing school and associated siteworks. There were a lot of project constraints on this project such as parking, sequencing of works for demolition of existing school, access and removal of asbestos in existing school. These items had to be fully detailed in the measured bill of quantities and preliminaries to ensure no claims arose due to these issues.

Coordination & Preparation of tender tender documents, preparation of etender notice, assessment of tenders & MEAT analysis, preparation of contract documents, review works on site, certify payments, review variations, prepare applications for additional funding, agree final accounts.

Together with the Design Team we successfully obtained significant additional funding for a new fully drained sports field during the project. We worked closely with the design team and client to prepare the costs and justification for additional funds.

The contract for the project was Public Works Contract for MINOR BUILDING and CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS designed by THE EMPLOYER
